Mount Jumbo Elk Ramble 15K

Run Wild Missoula is pleased to announce that the Mount Jumbo Elk Ramble 15K Trail Race is back for 2021! The event will be held on Saturday, November 6th at 10:00 AM.
**The race is capped at 300 participants; there will be a wait list; there will not be an option to transfer or defer . Information regarding conditional refunds below.**
Don’t miss the opportunity to take part in the only organized trail race on Mt. Jumbo. As part of this exclusive event, you will experience stunning landscapes as you traverse the winter home of the Mt. Jumbo elk herd. The Mount Jumbo Wildlife Management Area closes to all recreation on December 1st – take this chance to practice responsible recreation on Missoula’s Conservation & Open Space Lands and welcome the wildlife herds back to Jumbo!
Entry Fees: All participants will receive chip timing, on-course aid, post-race refreshments, and more! Run Wild Missoula members receive $3 discount!

Packet Pickup:
- Friday, November 5 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at Run Wild Missoula (304 N Higgins; basement of Runner’s Edge)
- Saturday, November 6 from 9:00 – 9:45 AM at the race start (Hellgate soccer fields)
- Packet Pickup will end promptly at 9:45 AM on race morning. We will not be able to provide you a bib number after 9:45 AM.
- We need the time between 9:45 AM and 10:00 AM to get all of your data entered into the system for accurate race timing and results.
- And, we want to give you plenty of time to warm up and make it through the bathroom line before the race starts.
Time Limit: The course will be open for 3 hours, from the 10:00 AM start through 1:00 PM
Cupless Event! Aid stations and the start/finish area will not have disposable cups. As a participant, you will receive a Hydrapak Speedcup as part of your registration to be used during the event (if you choose). You can carry a hand-held water bottle or hydration pack if you would prefer. Plenty of water and sports drink will be available from which you can fill your cup or hydration device.
Course: Start and finish at the Hellgate soccer fields on Lincoln Hills Road. 15K(ish) trail race on City Conservation & Open Space Lands in the North Zone of Mount Jumbo.

Per Run Wild Missoula event policies, dogs are not allowed to participate in this event with the exception of ADA Service Animals. Service animals must be on non-retractable, 6 foot or less leash.
